I facilitate group sessions in which I help prepare students for upcoming exams by reviewing and analyzing class material in the Neuroscience Seminar course. I supervise and assistant-coordinate class visits to a local middle school class of 7th graders to instruct a lesson on basic neuroscience.

I am a Senior Tutor in the Center for Writing and Academic Achievement. This role includes overseeing CWAA student operations, designing informative posters, and coordinating and leading tutor trainings focused on teaching students with learning disabilities & English-language learners. I study the neurological control of appetite, metabolism, and metabolic diseases by analyzing the biological pathways involved in insulin and leptin resistance in hypothalamic neurons. By utilizing lab skills such as Western Blots, immunofluorescence, and ELISA, my primary goal is to investigate how proteins downstream of the mTORC1 pathway are affected when exposed to ER stress. In conjunction with the research performed by my fellow laboratory peers and advisor, we hope to better understand the neurological changes that occur in the hypothalamus during type 2 diabetes and obesity.

I provided efficient emergency medical care to those in need of medical attention and provided safe transportation to the appropriate facility. I wrote patient care reports for every patient I served so that it can be transferred to the nurse supervisor and to the patient records. I was trained to provide basic life support procedures so that the patient received appropriate care.

I designed and developed the logo for business cards and office stationaries for the dental practice using Adobe Illustrator. I currently assist when needed with internet marketing using a Facebook page and the company's website.

I was chosen to participate in a highly selective Externship Program at Stonehill College. I was assigned to research Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and create a presentation to share with the nine other externs. We traveled to 12 companies around Boston, all from different industries, and networked with employees at the companies.
