Pivotal Labs transforms the way teams build software by pairing with their clients, side-by-side, and enabling the team using Agile XP practices. Floored creates 3D models for real-estate properties that can be viewed and shared in the browser. I worked for 6 months as a full-time full-stack (AngularJS and Node.js) Software Engineer and transitioned to work part-time full-stack Software and part-time Product manager in February 2015. I mainly worked on CMS architecture to manage our assets (scenes/furniture/materials) for our online 3D rendering system in my Software role and worked on revamping and discovering new components to define/design for our engineering team in my Product role.• Implemented system to manage real-time upload/processing of projects for Streeteasy partnership• Designed and implemented “material library” to add textures to items in online environment (>500 materials) with capabilities such as: filtering, downsizing resolution, and applying to 3D models• Rewrote and tested new job queue processing system to process/clean 3D models and files• Analyzed and designed project to improve selection and discovery of in-house 3D furniture items for modelers and clients; eliminated 50% of editing/selection process

Rent the Runway is a fashion e-commerce tech company that allows its customers to rent top-quality designer dresses for as low as $30. In my 9 months at Rent the Runway, I worked on the middleware/front-end systems (Ruby/JavaScript) to create new features on the web storefront and worked on the back-end (Java) developing the inventory management and order fulfillment software.• Created “shortlists” feature to save dresses to groups; increased interaction and dress rentals, especially when re-targeting customers for future rentals• Implemented Return for Fit, a feature enabling users to automatically return a dress within two days of the rental for refund or replacement; improved customer service load and satisfaction• Wrote Java back-end and Ruby web service components to transition user account pages off legacy PHP framework• Optimized warehouse system software by prioritizing units for just-in-time order fulfillment; ensuring dresses most likely to come out of our cleaning systems were schedules for that day's orders

Recurse Center is a 3 month intense, self-directed program where students explore programming and software topics on their own accord. There is no curriculum, tests, homework, or projects; instead, students decide what to learn based on their experience and interests and often collaborate together to create something new. During this time, I explored topics central to web development by creating:• Todo Bottle: A todo list that can be entered and modified by online users.
