Created Tsonic, a small venture which utilizes acoustic science and graphic design to create and sell completely unique posters. Designs are created by visualizing the frequency information within a soundwave, coloring the resulting surface, and creatively composing and framing these visualizations into posters. As a bit of an accidental spinoff from my acoustic research, Tsonic is an excellent way to blend science and art.My responsibilities include visualizing the frequency information, assisting with graphic design, interfacing with customers/collaborators, and handling logistics and distribution. Teach and supervise the utilization of various tools such as a Trotec Laser Cutter, OMAX Waterjet cutter, various 3-D printers and woodshop tools to Georgia Tech students to allow them to create, fabricate, and expand their ideas.Responsibilities as Wood Room Manager include mastering and maintaining all tools in the woodshop, maintaining safety standards, cataloging and ordering woodshop inventory, and establishing requirements to sufficiently train new Prototyping Instructors on the room’s tools.Additionally, attend weekly meetings with managers of other departments of the Studio to maintain standards and solve logistical problems.

Worked on the development, manufacturing, and testing of acoustic tags which reflect underwater soundwaves to send information across long distances. Potential use for autonomous underwater vehicles and communication with ships.Responsibilities were the design, fabrication, and testing of the acoustic tags. Test results were analyzed using spectrograms and other methods of wave form analysis to identify and verify novel acoustic communication.

Worked on a cross-functional team on a variety of projects developing and improving packaging operations. Responsibilities included:Led project redeploying packaging robots across 3 plants to save $200,000 while improving safety and ergonomicsPlanned trial for a new case design by coordinating equipment modifications on a $900,000 cost savings project.Travelled to 5 charcoal plants to meet plant teams and inspect packaging equipment components in order to transition to a new bag design in $1.5 million cost savings project.Performed detailed case rate analysis on a full year’s production data for two plants for a $2 million palletizer project

Work on small team focusing on the fabrication and assembly of guitar necks, bodies, and other parts to create guitars made from oil cans. Focus is on the Vintage Line in which old oil cans are salvaged and transformed into guitars.Tasks include assembling electronics, modeling part templates, material recycling, and woodworking.

Worked directly with company president in product research and development, specifically on a Noise Dosimeter and the corresponding software that analyzed and presented the collected data as well as formatted the device.Focused on fixing bugs and adding features to improve and streamline software functionality using LabVIEW.Accelerated product development by several months, finalized product before end of internship.Additionally worked with Adobe Acrobat in assisting with the organization and formatting of patent documentation.
