Ruby on Rails developer at The Dolan Company. -Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to determine scope, mission, and goals for iterations in a large data mining and cataloging application.-Build Ruby on Rails application integrating database model with business logic as specified by business and functional requirements.-Architect software with various hosting models including Enterprise (installed), and Hosted SaaS environments-Develop database including over 100 tables modeling congressional members, legislation, committees and related information.-Design workflow and messaging to connect distributed systems (Opscode Chef configuration of Ubuntu web); design architecture with transaction management and monitoring of complex transactions.-Implement systems for Import and Export of large data amounts; integrate with standard external systems.-Develop long term data retention and archiving of customer data processes.-Maintain working knowledge of back-end MIS systems and various methods of connection. -Define and enforce security models for application and customer data along with understanding of security certifications.
