Dr. Bollig is an experienced data scientist and AI/ML engineer. As a veterinarian, he uniquely bridges technical and clinical perspectives, driving innovative technology solutions to advance veterinary medicine. He received a DVM from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. He also completed an MS degree in Computer Science and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioinformatics at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Bollig is a part-time veterinarian at Checkout Veterinary Clinic in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and a data scientist thought leader at Nationwide Pet, working on projects that address pet health on a larger scale.As a part-time graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Bollig is completing a PhD in Veterinary Informatics, with a focus on machine learning and adversarial approaches for multispecies health surveillance and prediction. Dr. Bollig is motivated by deep consideration for the intrinsic well-being of animals, and a desire to improve the well-being of animals and the people who care for them. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, meditation, and music.
