My combined experience as a lawyer, qualified teacher, and director/trustee of a mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity has given me an appreciation of the importance of social responsibility.Prior to beginning my work with GibSams and Ramparts, I acquired a wide range of experience acting for clients in the Magistrates’ Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal, with an emphasis on Criminal Litigation and Family Law. I then developed a strong background in Fintech, Corporate, and Commercial law matters, including: multi-jurisdictional financing transactions, group restructures, mergers and acquisitions, token issuances, licence applications, and international tax planning.At GibSams, I am responsible for the charity’s legal governance, regulatory compliance, and our education outreach promoting mental health awareness in Gibraltar's schools and wider community. An initiative I led on behalf of GibSams was nominated for a ‘Best Educational Project’ Gibraltar Cultural Award.At Ramparts, I advise clients across various industries with both a local and international focus on corporate transactional work, distributed ledger technology matters, and commercial projects. Some of the noteworthy matters I have worked on are: - advising a multi-billion pound property group in relation to the maintenance of corporate structures and corporate governance in a tax setting;- acting for cryptoasset liquidity providers in respect of market making and loan arrangements; - advising registered charities, including representations to His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar that have contributed to amendments to legislation; and- collaborating with the Department of Education in respect of Gibraltar's annual Mental Health and Wellbeing Festival.
