Selected as team leader for design and implementation of aluminum reduction area, Kitimat smelter Modernization Project. Prepared specifications for purchase of Rockwell optical networking equipment, Aluminum Pechiney AP35, Corning fiber and HS&E systems including Boreal laser based gas detection. Planning for upgrade of Option 61C PBX to CS-1000 VoIP. Unfortunately, due to the global economic slowdown our customer, Rio Tinto Alcan, chose to defer projects. Before leaving I delivered 7 material requests (MRs are sets of purchase specifications) to the project team that will allow easier restart of the project.
