Insured By Us is a travel insurance platform provider that underpins the travel insurance businesses of underwriters such as the Hollard Insurance Company and Tokio Marine Australia. Via it’s travel insurance platform iconic brands such as Woolworths, Kogan, RAA, RAC, RACQ, RAV, and others are able to add travel insurance to their offerings of services for their customers.When I started at the beginning of 2017 the company had less than 10 employees and I was able to take over the day to day operations of the business from it’s founder and oversee the growth of the company to approximately 30 employees. The key challenges were to install effective agile practices and guide the division of responsibilities into several streams of work and build self-organising teams around those outcomes.Key achievements include:> Building a brand new Customer Success function including technical support, bespoke customisations, and on boarding of new clients> Assembled a team to negotiate contract renewals with a major partner and successfully retained that contract despite historical relationship challenges> Assembled and coached a team of product and partner leaders to guide the major work streams> Built a detailed long term market strategy and product roadmap to access new markets and build the businesses revenue

Having positioned individual teams within the Technology department with disciplined Agile practices I took responsibility for managing the portfolio of projects within World Nomads Group across the entire department. I was brought on at World Nomads Group to lead a team of developers in supporting business critical system and help them implement effective Agile practices.
