As a web applications developer at Aareas, I write modern, clean and performant code for internal projects and for the firm's clients. As the firm's WordPress developer I oversee the development, launch and maintenance of WordPress websites, manage installations and work with hosting support. Most recently, I led, implemented, and architected the front-end of a kiosk application with web and Electron-executable endpoints. The software allows users to interact with virtual scale models, search floor plans, and view other marketing materials. It is currently in use with 4 different clients and growing, including a leading Toronto-based condo developer.I utilize a variety of different languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Vue, Ionic, PHP, C#, and Electron.Other Accomplishments and Responsibilities:I have worked alongside several other developers on the team to build the firm’s award-winning Virtual Design Center, which allows purchasers to choose upgrades for their unit or home. Responsible for the front-end software and deployment to the App Store and Google Play.Collaborated with the firm’s Unreal developers, team leader and systems administrator to develop a cloud-instanced streaming service, delivering interactive 3D models powered by Unreal Engine to web-based platforms.Update websites to be compliant with ADA (US) and AODA (Ontario) accessibility standards for the firm’s American and Canadian clients, following WCAG 2.0 AA specifications.Communicate and collaborate daily with multidisciplinary agile team of developers, QA analysts, project managers and stakeholders, including a team based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.Engaged in knowledge-sharing and peer coding sessions with co-op students, and delegated work accordingly.

Accomplishments and Responsibilities:I self-initiated a refresh of the non-profit’s brand in web and print. This involved preparing and presenting a brand study for the senior-management team, which would later be used to win the approval of the Board of Directors to launch a formal brand refresh, which culminated in the adoption of a new brand identity in 2014.I directed, filmed, organized and edited recruitment and promotional video projects. The recruitment video achieved over 1,000 views on YouTube within a year of going live.Designed signage and marketing materials for the non-profit’s MyCharityConnects conference.
