Nick's central charge is to develop and execute Perkin&Will's Digital Practice strategies, advancing tools, workflows, and emerging technologies that enable design teams to deliver outstanding solutions for clients. Cameron's early career focused on design, including award winning projects such as the Canisius College Montante Cultural Center and St. Bonaventure University Rare Books Library. His passion for design and working with dynamic teams led him to Shanghai, China to further expand CannonDesign’s presence beyond North America. During his tenure in Shanghai, Cameron and his teammates cultivated a highly collaborative office ethos that successfully executed projects of the highest quality and innovation. In a brief two-year span, the size of the office doubled and the complexity of the work increased.Managing projects throughout China, India, Saudi Arabia and South Korea, Cameron worked with international design teams dispersed around the globe, at times across 4 or 5 offices. These teams were separated by time, geography and culture, which created challenges to the collaborative nature of architectural design. Cameron began developing alternative communication and process strategies for these teams that would eventually lead to the design, development and launch of new collaborative digital strategies, including desktop and mobile applications. In 2011, Cameron moved to Chicago and was instrumental in the design of a new award winning, 60,000 sf, LEED Platinum office space. He led the implementation of prototypical collaborative office spaces that would physically support the digital initiatives undertaken company wide.
