As a part of Professor Ritu Raman's cutting-edge laboratory, I am amazed and honored to be at the forefront of biology and mechanical engineering. As a core graduate student, I am working on taking living muscle acutators and making them viable components that can be utilized in everyday machines. Although my research is just beginning under the tutelage of Professor Raman, I am excited to continue learning and employing my skills to solve complex problems.

As a Field Engineer, I use an engineering mindset and mechanical skills to ensure that the suite of laboratory diagnostic tools that Abbott has developed, such as the Alinity m Instrument, are working at a maximum efficiency. While I was a part of the Abbott family, it was incredibly fulfilling to support the lab groups working with these diagnostic tools in the their fight against a volatile health climate.

In being a part of Dr. Jaydev Desai's prestigious RoboMed Lab, I feel that I have learned so much about robotics and engineering design. In the RoboMed Lab, I have worked to create the back-end of a robotic guidewire for vascular insertion. More work is still yet to come, but it has been a pleasure gaining experience so far in a robotics R&D environment.

As a TA for Problems in Biomedical Engineering (BMED2250), I help guide and lead a group of students develop a novel medical device following the premise and restrictions of the class. As a position of educational mentorship, I find it fulfilling to help these students succeed in class, while also getting a better understanding of what it means to be a mentor.

As Project Manager I handle the logistics behind the RoboJackets BattleBots subteam, ranging from building project rosters to handling competition organization. I've had to oversee multiple robotics subteams, while also coordinating our budget, travel logistics, and project timelines. During my time here, I was able to implement biweekly roundtable meetings to increase team communication, while also keep our teams moving forward. I was also able to organize the first BattleBots competition on Georgia Tech Campus during the RoboJackets 20th Anniversary Celebration, where highschoolers and university teams competed alike.

As an undergraduate researcher in the Garcia Lab here at Georgia Tech, I have been working to complete my Undergraduate Thesis in mechanobiology. This research focuses on understanding how cells adhere to their environment and uncovering the mechanisms responsible. Currently, my research is under review for publication by scientific journals. Either way, it has been a pleasure to serve under IBB Director Andres Garcia, while also reinforcing my knowledge of cellular biology!

As an intern in the Hahn Lab, I worked to understand the inflammatory response produced by macrophages. By understanding and learning more about this process, we can better suit devices for bodily implantation. During my internship I worked on an independent project within the NSF-funded RPI REU. My research on characterizing the inflammatory profiles of macrophages not only helped me develop strong laboratory skills, but was also chosen for an oral presentation at the 2017 BMES Annual Meeting. It was a pleasure to present my research in person to the scientific community.

Served as a Bioengineering Intern throughout high school to Dr. Janet Paluh at Suny Poly (SUNY CNSE). Became familiar with laboratory techniques from a young age and assisted graduate students with their projects involving kinesin cancer research. Also served as a summer program coordinator alongside other interns.
