I was associated with the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University as a PhD Research Fellow under the NORHED SUNREM-Himalaya Project "Sustainable natural resource management for climate change adaptation in the Himalayan region". I was studying the impact of climate change on forest and water resources in Chure - Terai region of Nepal.

Co-ordinate, monitor and supervise field implementation of NTNC part of the Hariyo Ban program (funded by USAID through WWF US), prepare progress reports, liaise with donors/partners/policy level stakeholders, provide technical backstopping to the field teams located in five major protected areas of Nepal.

Technical backstopping to project implementation at field level, project concept notes and proposals development, preparation of technical reports, liaise with central/policy level stakeholders.

• Devise, test, validate and implement GIS based methods for survey and monitoring of biodiversity.• Collect primary natural resources, biodiversity, socio-economic and infra-structure data and update whenever required.• Analyze satellite imagery to prepare habitat maps and integrate the outcomes with the MIS.• Provide GIS, Global Positioning System (GPS), database management, data analysis and basic remote sensing training to the NTNC staff.• Develop and maintain GIS based Management Information System (MIS) primarily for the management of Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA).• Coordinate with concerned partner organizations and within the NTNC for production and dissemination of information and maps.
