I've spoken web languages since my early teens and am increasing my scope of languages by learning Python.As a systems administrator and IT director for the US Senate, I had the privilege of managing the IT resources of three US senators (two standing and one retired). In each case, I introduced a higher level of security by implementing vulnerability scans and remediating security issues using their results. Since then, I've achieved Security+ and CISSP certifications, which together demonstrate a solid and actionable base of knowledge in my field. Finally, I've chosen to deepen my linux knowledge by studying for and passing the RHCSA exam. I'm studying for the RHCE and Amazon AWS certifications as well to keep my knowledge fresh and my skills honed.Those in technology often wear different hats during the course of their career, including web designer, tech liaison, strategist, handyman, and security guru. Wearing these has given me the ability to approach problems from many angles and to navigate difficult issues.
