The PVAC (Portable Vacuum Assisted Climber) is designed to help military personnel ascend walls when grappling hooks are unacceptable. Battery powered vacuum pumps are attached to the user’s back and suction pads, mounted to the users hands, provide grip on the wall to enable climbing. Our team’s role was to optimize the product based on a previous design.
