At Prairie my work has been focused on creating an environment that enables a variety of Civil Engineering verticals to work effectively from small offices, home, and in the field. We're migrating systems to SaaS where possible, Azure architecture, VDI, and further away from the domain each day. An ideal vision of a zero-touch deployment of equipment is becoming increasingly real! Pre-Prairie despite my work being primarily IT I also was heavily involved in developing sales forecasting models, and a new standard costing model for manufacturing -- including the design, reporting, and analysis of proper methods for labor, VOH, FOH costs. I've also been working heavily on a project to re-engineer several processes related to material movement; including barcode consumption. I've also been tasked with leading our purchasing department with goals of reduction of inventory. We were successful in pulling out more than $2M in raw material inventory over 9 months.I relish the implementation of new applications that improve processes and experiences. My role at Prairie and previous companies has been one of both developing systems, applications, and tools but then also of leading my team and guiding them to providing those same things for our staff and clients.
