As an Enterprise Ambassador at Edinburgh Innovations, I supported the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among students from Africa. I facilitate workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking events to help scholars develop their entrepreneurial skills and ideas, and connect them with resources and opportunities to launch and grow their ventures. I also collaborate with other ambassadors and staff to design and implement the program's strategy and activities, ensuring alignment with the Mastercard Foundation's vision and goals.Prior to joining Edinburgh Innovations, I worked as a Technical Consultant and Trainer at Food for the Hungry, where I delivered the Entrepreneurship Program for youths in rural areas in Uganda. I trained and coached over 200 youths on business skills, financial literacy, and market access, and helped them create and execute their business plans. I also conducted research and analysis on the impact and sustainability of the program, and provided recommendations for improvement. Additionally, I am the founder and team leader of Fastmere, a social enterprise that connects farmers and consumers through a reliable and affordable distribution channel, increasing profits for the farmers and quality for the consumers. I have successfully raised funds, built partnerships, and managed operations for Fastmere, reaching over 500 farmers and 1000 consumers in two years. I hold a MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Edinburgh, where I explored the intersection of climate change, sustainability, and agriculture, and how they affect rural development and food security. I have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science and Natural Resource Management from Universidad EARTH, where I graduated with honors and received multiple awards and scholarships, including the Resolution Fellowship and the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship. I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to create positive social and environmental impact, and I am always eager to learn from and collaborate with others who share this vision.
