Segal Marco Advisors is the combination in 2017 of The Marco Consulting Group and Segal Rogerscasey. The independent, employee owned firm has a substantial public fund, corporate, endowment, foundation and financial intermediary presence. A member of the firm's Management Committee, Michael is responsible for firm's consulting practice on the East Coast. Michael has extensive experience working with defined benefit and defined contribution plans as well as health and welfare and ancillary plans. He has prior experience as a partner in a mid size Boston area law firm with primary responsibilities in the ERISA/Employee Benefits practice group working with private and public employee benefit plans, including pension and health plan sponsors, primarily as fund counsel and also provided commercial real estate lending practice support. Michael is a regular presenter at industry conferences on investment issues, consulting and best practices for fiduciaries and his work has also been published in various publications. He is Past President of the ISCEBS Governing CouncilSpecialties: Fiduciary responsibility, asset allocation with integration of liabilities, discretionary management and investment administration services, investment manager research, selection and monitoring, DC plan provider and custodial selection, participant education, policy development and maintenance, plan governance, corporate governance and proxy voting, and development of best practices by investment fiduciaries.
