Profile bio

About Nicholas Denezzo

In 2010, I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Cognitive Science, specializing in neuroscience, and a minor in physics. Using this experience, I then spent the following 7+ years working as a mental health professional with SED teenagers, rapidly working my way up to a management-level position. Additionally, I have experience working with all ages and populations as a certified personal trainer, stretch therapist, lifeguard, and swim instructor.More recently, I have begun applying my knowledge and experience toward conservation and environmental protection. As an artist, I have been striving to convey the importance of biodiversity in natural ecosystems, through a pairing of education with art and media. Additionally, I have been active in this cause as a member of SeaWorld's Stranded Animal Rescue Team, and a volunteer with the Birch Aquarium. My goal is to use knowledge and experience in psychology, public policy, art/media, and the sciences to influence and improve conservation efforts, particularly as it pertains to the ocean and its ecosystems.

Listed skills include Animal Behavior, Sports Injuries, Aquatic Ecology, Mental Health, and 16 others.
