Hello👋! My name is Ndeye Kambe. I am currently a 2nd-year student at the University of Missouri-Columbia studying Public Health and French. As a dedicated student, I am passionate about promoting community health and cultural understanding through meaningful volunteerism and conscious service.My academic journey began at the Lycee Français de Chicago, where I not only became fluent in French but also developed a global mindset, a love for learning, and an understanding of various cultures, geopolitics, and economies. I continued my education at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, where I nurtured my passion for learning and learned the importance of self-advocacy, involvement, and service to others.As I enter my 2nd year at Mizzou, I am proud to reflect on my accomplishments thus far. I was recently accepted into the inaugural class of Mizzou Public Health Honors Scholars and elected President of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated—an organization dedicated to fostering women who promote values of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. I am also excited to return to the Mizzou Gaines/Oldham Black Cultural Center and the Mizzou Multicultural Center as a Student Intern, where I help foster multicultural engagement throughout campus. My involvement at Mizzou has only just begun, and I am excited for what the next semester holds!This summer, I have accepted an internship at Friend Health Center on the south side of Chicago. I am eager to learn about various systems within the clinic and build connections with the healthcare professionals I will work with. Additionally, I was recently promoted at Oak Lawn Park District. I am now involved as the Swim Lessons Coordinator, helping to plan and oversee swim lessons at the Park District.Let's connect and explore how we can collaborate to make a positive impact!
