I have experience in successfully building, leading and nurturing academic departments and programmes in the domains of computer science & engineering, AI, machine learning and data science. I also contribute significantly to the accreditation of programmes. Originality, synthesis, broad knowledge with deep conceptual understanding, strong analytical skill, innovative and principled approach to problem solving are my strengths.I am passionate about academic processes and pedagogy, especially Engineering education, research, innovation and teaching. I had the wonderful opportunity to architect multiple Masters and Bachelor programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Embedded Systems fields at M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (and earlier at M S Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies). They are designed to be outcome-based and with clear goals of preparing graduates for current and future challenges in these rapidly evolving fields. I inaugurated and built from ground-up the Computer Science and Engineering Department at MSRSAS and MSRUAS.My academic interests are modelling, analysis and application of causality, causal machine learning, AI for healthcare, connected systems, graph data mining, anomaly detection, multi-sensor data fusion, intelligent sensors signal processing, software architectures and systems and formal methods. I have guided close to 70 Masters Theses in these and related areas, with seven patents granted (and three others published).I am also interested in Mathematics, Philosophy and Social Studies. I used to play, but now only watch, sports.
