Member of Project Excellence management team, I am heading the area which is responsible for global project planning strategy in Vestas Power Solutions - composed by several strong Project Managers and planning BI & analytics team spread across countries - that have impact on 150 Project Managers in various locations, several multi million projects. This includes efficiently deploying projects for tools, contracts and frameworks improvement to project planning excellence, providing automated reporting tools using PowerBI, JIRA and other softwares to deliver full visibility to all levels of organization about project execution milestones and targets - key to improve R&D profitability globally. Besides this, I am also a member of Vestas Technology Center Porto management team, to help running the local R&D operation now with 600+ strong workforce.

Heading the Operational & Project Execution department in Vestas Center Porto and member of Design Center Porto Management Team, I was responsible for the operational and project efficiency as well as the project management standards, in close connection with Project and Operational Excellence and Portfolio Mgm in Vestas HQ in order to ensure business targets are met across Vestas Design Centre Porto operation. Team is composed by several strong project managers. Reporting directly to VP, and together with the remaining Management Team members, I was also leading the 400+ strong engineering workforce in Design Center Porto.

Heading the Project Management department in Vestas Design Center Porto and part of Design Center Management team, I was responsible for the ramp up of Project Management Department (20+ FTEs, Engineering Project Managers) in close connection with HQ PMO, ensuring department and operation overall budget, while delivering projects across several engineering disciplines. This includes the leadership of more than 300FTEs together with the other Design Center Management Team members in order to ensure successful operation ramp up.

Project Manager for large multinational project, focused on electrical release for 2MW wind turbine platform. First of this kind to be deployed from Porto’s Vestas operation, I was managing 3 technical leaders both in DK and Porto who were working with more than 50FTEs worldwide for a successfully project delivery.

Member of Elevolution Assets management team, with direct report to Executive Committee, I was leading change management projects and initiatives for a successful turnaround and also managing non financial assets from the 4 merged companies (value +€150 million). Elevo was sold in 2017 after a successful turnaround. Also in the last 6 months in the function, I was offered the opportunity to be in control of LATAM operations (+€180milion, +150FTEs), and provide proper forecasts to Executive Committe, part of Mgm Control leadership.

Managed two large projects up to €230 million, having leadership responsibilities over people, business results and engineering capabilities. All in all, I have learnt how to scale up complex engineering projects and operation, working with different multinational companies and at the same time lead and retain talent (~40FTE).

Started career in one of the largest Portuguese Construction companies (>2000 FTEs) joining trainee excellence program (1 year) which aims at gaining a broad perspective of the business by being integrated and delivering projects across several business units. I have delivered projects in Commercial, Procurement and Legal Business Units.After a one year successful trainee program I was integrated in the team of the Special Engineer Projects Department and in Construction Site, where I was supporting the Project Manager managing construction site - mainly focused on planning and contract management and people leadership.
