Senior DSP Firmware Contractor (7 months) within the DSP Firmware team for X-GOLD213 Baseband chipset (ARM11+ DSP TEAK-Lite) targeting 2G/2.5G mobile telephony. My mission was initially to design the audio scheduler (full assembly coded) according to specifications.Main Achievements:- “Switch Matrix” (routing table) coded from scratch in assembly. This module brings high flexibility to the routing of audio signals for the different supported use-cases, lowering code update and maintenance needs.- Excellent Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) results (MIPS and Memory footprint).- Support of Virtual Prototyping (VP) team (Germany Based) for their models development. I also introduced and put in place the VP environment for the DSP FW team involved on the project. Several business trips in Munich to synchronize VP and FW team effort.

My work was mainly focused on the audio component of an OMAP chipset (ARM11+ DSP C55x) targeting 2G/3G mobile telephony. My mission was to upgrade the audio framework to support 16kHz sampling frequency as well as integrating AMR-WB to this framework.Main Achievements:- Main goal achieved in full autonomy within two third of the time budget.- Enhancement of the code maintainability by suggesting and implementing an audio HAL (HW Abstraction Layer).- Enhancement of Echo Canceller tail length by synchronizing the speech reference line with audio framework.
