Key accomplishments in this role included: • Program evaluation of the Philadelphia Eligible Metropolitan Area’s (EMA) Ryan White Program using quantitative and qualitative methods to identify unmet HIV treatment and prevention needs and areas for system-wide improvements • Leading the strategic planning process for the five-year HIV prevention and care integrated plan for a nine-county region which required collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, project management, policy analysis, and developing metrics to measure strategic outcomes. • Analysis of local data and the literature to develop a workshop on the social determinants of health and HIV for internal and external stakeholders • Leading the department’s planning and analysis of the impact of the ACA on the region’s HIV care systems, which included developing workshops for consumers, case managers, and staff • Designing and facilitating the decision-making processes for the annual allocation of the Philadelphia HIV Integrated Planning Council’s budget of approximately $20 million • Monitoring public health policy, federal and state funding, and community dynamics to provide trend analysis and strategic insights for the EMA’s annual and long-term planning • Supervision of staff and providing administrative/managerial support to the Director, including facilitating/agenda setting for staff meetings and hiring new staff members • Representing the Office of HIV Planning and PDPH on federal, statewide, and local coalitions
