- Developed several CFD models to study and analyze a novel laser-based manufacturing technology known as ultrasound- assisted water-confined laser micromachining (UWLM) process using ANSYS-FLUENT.- Created a 2D CFD model to simulate a novel technology known as dual-pulse laser ablation and plasma amplification (LAPA) process for drilling microholes with varying diameters at different depths by developing an in-house C++ code.- Performed validation and verification for several computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer projects. - Developed a multiphase mixture model to study and analyze cavitation flow induced by vibrating ultrasonic horn near a target with a microhole using FLUENT.- Conducted a multiphase CFD simulation using volume of fluid method (VOF) to study the dynamics of a high-pressure, high-temperature bubble inside a microhole and the generated shock waves inside water using FLUENT.- Performed Gas dynamic simulation of laser-induced plasma inside a microhole using C++ coding, with a focus on modeling plasma hydrodynamics, laser-plasma interactions, metal surface vaporization, radiation and conduction heat transfer.- Developed a multiphase CFD model using volume of fluid method (VOF) to study the collapse of a bubble generated by laser ablation of Titanium surface.- Studied acoustic wave propagation inside water and near a metallic target induced by a High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) transducer using FLUENT. - Developed UDFs in FLUENT to implement moving boundaries and compressible liquids.
