I work with another head coach to manage the CYC Sea Lions Swim Team. The two of us work together to build great athletes in and out of the water and help the swimmers succeed towards their goals of progressing in the sport. We also communicate with parents and other coaches in the league to ensure we can run successful swim meets, be a positive part of the league, and help the organization to grow in the community.

I worked with a Community Manager at the American Cancer Society and helped to design flyers for events, managed the social media accounts for the Slippery Rock Relay for Life, wrote stories and ads for the school's television and radio station, and reached out to members of the community to donate to/sign-up for Relay For Life.

I was in charge of writing practices and communicating with a group of 15+ children so that they could advance their swimming abilities. I also assisted other coaches when they needed help with their groups of swimmers.

I worked with the director of the Leadership Development Center and assisted her in planning an event along with designing two catalogs for workshops being held within the university, a logo, and a brochure. I attended client meetings with her and was able to lay the foundation of work for the next group that was working to advertise for this event.

The Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator (SEA) is an organization where we help students and community entrepreneurs grow and maintain sustainable businesses. For this internship I was able to and still design for many different projects/events for the SEA. I was the project manager for the social media and website for the organization over the summer. I tweeted every day for the account and made sure information went out about what was going on with the organization along with facts about sustainability or entrepreneurship. Also, I was and am currently still on a project team for PR/Marketing where I designed/helped to design flyers, newsletters, and a movie poster.

I prepared swimming lessons for children from ages 4 to 12 on how to properly swim

I maintained the safety of patrons' lives who entered the pool area. I provided first-response care to injured or drowning victims and provided customer service to patrons while working the front desk of the pool
