The recommended hearing subject was selected and entitled “Securing the Future: Harnessing the Potential of Emerging Technologies while Mitigating Security Risks” – which occurred on June 22, 2022. Conduct research, provide legislative input and work closely with the Office of Bombing Prevention to authorize H.R. 6873 “Bombing Prevention Act of 2022” – which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives. Engage with stakeholders to improve existing legislation, provide oversight on DHS entities under the Subcommittee and identify cyber workforce engagement opportunities for the 9th congressional district of New York. Participate in stakeholder discussions with the Office of the National Cyber Director, Microsoft, RAND Corporation, National Football League (NFL), various DHS components including the Science and Technology Directorate, CISA, etc.  Represent the Committee at the November 2022 Aspen Cyber Summit. Served as Committee representative during Alabama staff delegation, which included tours of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) campus, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), The National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI), Regional Computer Forensics Lab (RCFL), Terrorist Explosive Device Analysis Center (TEDAC), and Hazardous Devices School.
