Hi everyone!, I'm Nicolas Dunker.Since early 2010, I've been exploring various programming languages including Java, C#, C++, Python, Rust, and JavaScript. My journey as a Linux user (currently on Debian) has been intertwined with my necessity to use Windows for SAP GUI, as it doesn't perform the same on Linux.My professional experience spans multiple domains, primarily focusing on finance, investments, intrinsic value calculations, and financial arbitrage.I'm also deeply involved in the SAP ecosystem as an ABAP developer for a major company in Argentina, my task it's to develop some implementations, reports, ALVs, Smartforms, User Exit and everything related to the area.I'm passionate about learning and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. This drive has led me to work on projects using cutting-edge technologies like React, databases such as SurrealDB, and query languages like GraphQL.While my expertise lies in backend development, I'm continuously striving to enhance my frontend skills. Though CSS and frameworks like Tailwind are areas I aim to improve, I can confidently say I know how to center a div!One of my significant personal projects is "BestDeal," an intrinsic value calculator based on my analysis of financial statements. It alerts me to potential investments in the NYSE market, with plans to expand to DAX-XETRA.Collaboratively, I have developed financial arbitrage strategies for currencies and cryptocurrencies, utilizing cash and carry tactics (leveraging contango and backwardation), as well as triangular arbitrage. These projects were implemented in Rust due to its performance benefits.Additionally, I have experience with Docker, Docker-Compose, and various databases including PostgreSQL, SurrealDB, and MongoDB, along with numerous other libraries and frameworks I've utilized over the years.I am also an investment enthusiast and have completed several courses to deepen my understanding of this area. I love building my portfolio of investments, with a philosophy rooted in fundamental analysis. I am skeptical of what is commonly referred to as "technical analysis" due to the lack of empirical evidence supporting this investment strategy.In addition to my technical skills, I am fluent in Spanish (native), English, and Italian. I enjoy staying active through sports, especially at the gym, and am an avid traveler, appreciating new cultures which enhances my ability to work with diverse teams.
