Grace Villa Kabale is a sanctuary & home to orphaned and vulnerable girls in Western Uganda. Grace Villa - USA has been established to help raise financial support for operations for Grace Villa Kabale. We are strong advocates for the empowerment of the girl child. For those that don’t know, girls rule the world! They become our mothers and such play a critical role in the development of any nation. Once the girl child is empowered they are able to literally TRANSFORM a nation within a generation as they are the mentors, confidants and special advisors to each one of their children. It’s honestly the most rewarding role in the history of mankind; the ability women have to help shape and mould their sons and daughters into the powerful and successful people.

The Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance has developed a prophylactic and early outpatient combination treatment protocol for COVID-19 called I-Mask+. This protocol is centered around the use of Ivermectin, a well-known anti-parasite drug with recently discovered anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties and a rapidly growing published medical evidence base demonstrating its unique and highly potent ability to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 replication.

In this multinational organization, Apolo was charged with identifying and doing due diligence on projects that could potentially impact the lives of those in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. In this role, he relied on his networking and fundraising skills to provide support for projects to do with lighting solutions in Africa, investment opportunities and the girl child. With the support of colleagues in 14 states in America and African Countries like Eritrea, Ethiopia and Ghana, the East African Cooperation Forum was a strategic stakeholder relationship agency.

At the Office of Sponsored Research, Apolo excelled at coordinating the annual project budgets with principle investigators – ensuring accurate allocation of time and effort of personnel on project grants. He was also responsible for personnel, equipment, materials & supplies, and other grant expenditures.http://www.joslin.org

Managed internal and external communications and was the architect and facilitator of the National Consultative Process on the Political Federation of the East Africa States in the USA. We held town hall meetings in: Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, San Diego and Boston. This was done in collaboration with the East African Community Secretariat in Arusha, Tanzania.

To the acclaim of colleagues and supervisors, Apolo was able to streamline and maintain departmental infrastructure – effectively managing all office activities and departmental communication. The two aspects he was able to initiate were support to programs with the Harvard Medical School for student research and internships; and also coordinate the elective clerkships for Massachusetts’s medical students with the Cambridge Health Alliance Family Physician Preceptors. Both of these were very successful and students, interns, medical personnel were fully supported and effective.http://www.challiance.org

Under the Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology, Apolo handled pre and post grant management. In this role, he worked with different stakeholders in the submission of grant proposals, ensured that budgets and monthly funds were reconciled and that all programs were compliant with Federal regulations. Core to this role was managing the entire Boston Area Diabetes Endocrinology Research Center [BADERC], which, at the time, was very successful in receiving grants. He also prepared manuscripts for scientific journals and created presentations for research papers.http://www.massgeneral.org

One of Apolo’s key roles at McClean Hospital progressed from analyzing accounting data of expenses to actual grant preparation, post management of grants and especially organization of international conferences over his 5 years of the role. He also managed the editorial work of the Receiving Editor of the European Journal of Neuroscience; and also created and maintained websites for the Center for Neuroregeneration Research and the American Society for Neural Transplantation and Repair.http://neuroregeneration.orghttp://mcleanhospital.org
