Oversee the entire Supply Chain function for the plant. Responsible for procuring the raw materials through the conversion to Finished Goods. Accountable for the daily operation schedule and working with the Operations team to produce our products efficiently and cost effectively. Developed a synergy with the Operations and Distribution teams insuring our products were produced safely, with zero defects and on time to be shipped to our customers. Oversaw our Shipping and Receiving Depts. as well as responsible for our 3 PL partners as well. Implemented direct shipments from our 3 PL saving the plant over $300k a year in transportation costs.

Oversee the both the Shipping and Receiving Depts. in a fast paced temperature controlled fresh foods environment. Responsible for the safe handling and receipt of the raw ingredients, insuring proper FIFO rotation is followed. Manage the shipping functions of the company utilizing proper storage practices and shipping techniques insuring our customers’ requests are satisfied accurately and on time. I am responsible for 7 supervisors and 80 material handlers in a fast paced 24/7 operation. Involved in the hiring, training, coaching and disciplining of all associates per company policies. Coordinate with other depts. Operations, Quality and Maintenance daily making sure our production schedule can be completed efficiently.

Responsible for $60 million in FG, RM and Packaging Inventory stored in 3 different warehouse facilities. Oversee the receipt of materials through the conversion to FG and the outbound shipments to our customers. Developed a safety culture while increasing efficiency in our operations. Implemented our new WMS (Red Prairie) and trained over 150 operators in utilizing the inventory system. Led multiple teams utilizing CI Tools in reducing costs, improving efficiency and accuracy in our operations. Work cross functionally with our Quality, Manufacturing and Maintenance Depts.to insure human and food safety as well as delivering the needs of our customers. Hire, coach, mentor, train, schedule and develop all warehouse personnel to maximize their potential.

Managed a team of union forklift operators and non-union clerical staff in all the shipping and receiving functions of the plant. Led multiple projects to improve efficiency and safety of the team. Developed our forklift operators to perform clerical functions allowing us to open a satellite warehouse facility staffed by our union forklift operators saving us in outside storage and transportation costs. Implemented our in house WMS to track all raw materials, work in process and finished goods throughout the entire manufacturing process.
