Summary:Responsible for management of products sold for assigned products and technologies in the Energy SpareParts business and support of Business Manager in the development of sales and business strategy directly relating to straight tubing and fabricated pressure part components. Responsibility includes managing core products, maintaining product expertise, development of sales, marketing, and business strategy, maintaining the product supply chain, and maintaining market awareness. The primary focus of my position is to promote, sell, process, and execute spare part orders for the Energy Spare Parts Business Line to the Pulp & Paper, Power, and Energy industries and to provide technical sales support.Product Management1. Product Expert; complete knowledge of product costs, profitability, features, benefits andcompetitive market pricing2. Understand what drives risk and limitations of the product – collaborate with shop production,engineering, outsourcing partners, etc…3. Product ownership includes management of corrective actions to improve the product offering4. Understand how product is sold to different market segments along with customer requirements(quality and commercial)5. Assist in development of marketing materials, standard proposal documents and pricing metrics6. Educate Valmet internal and contract salesforce on product features and capabilities7. Track and manage financial and operational performance and work with Business Manager toprovide monthly reports (e.g., Hit rate, quote response time, sales, margin, quality costs, etc…)8. Manage supply chain and provide intelligence and recommendations to Business Manager forinventory levels of raw materials that support future sales and improve ability to execute9. Track and report on customer/competitor activity in conjunction with sales to identify andproactively capitalize on market trends

Works closely with RetubeCo engineering, operations, and sales personnel in developing andestimating proposals.CURRENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Understanding of retubing and heat exchanger projects and the requirements to fulfill thoseprojects.Determining key variables for cost and other judgments required in a proposal.Gather firsthand information from sites, vendors, clients, and other venues.Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.Obtain and review quotes from vendors and/or subcontractors for accuracy and scope.Perform risk analysis for projects and communicate those risks to final decision makers.Create and submit bids to sales and development for final sales strategy.Build relationships with clients and vendors for enhanced support.Provide schedules, manpower needs, materials, tooling, and other details required tocompleted a project.Set priorities and transition between tasks frequently without downtime.Communicate across departments for cost information, engineering details, and othertechnical requirements of a project.Perform site walk downs in order to better understand the scope of work and translate that toan estimate that is accurate.Communicate awarded jobs and details necessary to turnover to Operations.

Cradle to grave Estimate to Execution of assigned projects including the following:Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, and commercial terms & conditions.Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Control, Manufacturing and customers to define product offering and proposed manufacturing plan.Create detailed estimate of all project costs, including material, labor, logistics, and outside services.Prepare detailed written project proposals.Communicate with customers to review proposal content and answer any questions.Support sales efforts through customer meetings and site visits.Contract Negotiation.Track costs to complete and schedule of awarded contracts.Act as a liaison between the customer, engineering, manufacturing, and field services.

Manage and own responsibility of sales activities relating to assigned markets including: sales forecasting, supporting outside sales force, processing customer RFQs, determining job costs, developing and transmitting price quotes, following up on same, receiving and processing customer purchase orders, coordinating customer requests for job status, cross selling for other MetalTek divisions, developing and communicating production schedules to customers, reviewing technical job specs and developing the initial QC inspection plans, assisting accounts receivables with overdue invoices, initiating internal paperwork and coordinating customer quality complaints, along with communicating manufacturing and engineering issues to customers.

Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, and commercial terms & conditions.Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Control, Manufacturing and customers to define product offering and proposed manufacturing plan.Create detailed estimate of all project costs, including material, labor, logistics, and outside services.Prepare detailed written project proposals.Communicate with sales representatives and customers to review proposal content and answer any questions.Support sales efforts through customer meetings and site visits.

Processing:Create Shop Routers/Travelers for fabrication of headers and links as per engineering drawings and customer / contract requirements.Work with Manufacturing and Welding Engineering to evaluate the most cost-effective way to process header and boiler components being manufactured from the procurement phase through final shipping of components.Prepare shop Non-conformance instructions in conjunction with Quality Engineering dispositions.Assure that proper/current documentation is on the shop floor at all times.Cost Development:Estimate Manufacturing Cost and Man-hours for manufacturing of pressure part components including, Superheaters, Reheaters, Loose Tubes, Panels, & Headers.Work closely with supply management to acquire cost for tubing, pipe, and various attachments that are used in the manufacturing of various pressure part components.Apply Customer Spec and current ASME code information to assure proper pricing for pressure part components.Assist Proposal Developers with information and strategy for bid submittals to customers on projects ranging from $10,000 to $10,000,000 in order magnitude.

Conduct power boiler site visits with Project Engineers and Stress Analysis Engineers to determine replacement/upgraded pressure part scope.Created Pressure Part field erection drawings showing piece marks weld details with proper notation for installation.

First entry level CAD job, created and made revisions to mechanical, structural, civil, architectural, and P&ID drawings as marked up by project engineers.
