Since early November, I have been serving as the California State Chair for Young Americans for Liberty. YAL is a student activist organization that seeks to bring together people of different political backgrounds, mainly classical liberals, libertarians, and small gov't conservatives, to advocate for ending no-knock raids, ending the war on drugs, criminal justice reforms, and reinstating the rights of the individual. Tasks include:• Hosting and assembling chapter meetings • Devising speaker events for the chapter; our most recent event was in collaboration with the Atlas Society. We were able to hear from Jennifer Grossman, their CEO, who spoke to us about Ayn Rand, individualism, and objectivism. • Tabling events, flyer campaigns, and literature dispersal on Chapman's campus• Maintaining communication with chapterless members, members in central and northern California, and the west regional director's who represent the greater national organization.

The campaign interns are a team of 40 college students working together to collate and itemize campaign donor's past contributions. We investigate the donation habits of those who've contributed to similar candidates in the local area from previous election cycles. Throughout my time working for the Jay Chen Student Intern Program I have:• Attended a variety of in-person and virtual events, including our campaign office opening and a fundraising event endorsed by Representative Judy Chu and State Senator Dave Min.• Researched potential donors by looking at their employment history, community involvement, and places of education. • Executed donor data entry and form processing through the use of google sheets.• Conducted specialized research projects, such as the geolocation of prominent voter hot spots within the new boundaries of the 45th Congressional District. This district was redistricted in December of 2021 so finding areas where events can take place, such as campuses, has proven to be a vital role in our campaign.• Participated in phone-banking and canvassing events.• Networked with fellow interns to learn more about the creation of outreach materials and literature promoting our candidate.

During the summer between my Junior and Senior year of college, I served as a remote Media Intern and completed a variety of PR tasks related to:• Listing media outlets and journalists that can write about niche topics, like the NFT Music Industry or Blockchain Forensics Firms.• Practice creating and writing media pitches & pitch decks.• Contributing to the firms media wing, ParadoxPolitics.com, by rounding out existing articles, creating article pitches, and writing my own content. The main piece my editor and I published discusses the implementation of the Ukrainian Central Banks Digital Currency, and its corresponding state-services platform known as "Diia." • Technical writing for clients; one of my first tasks was writing a Wikipedia page for the Polish-American artist Agnieszka Pilat, who specializes in rendering portraits of robots and machines. • Other tasks involved attending team meetings through zoom, reaching out to specialists for quotes, and interviewing knowledgeable individuals for articles.
