Leading a small highly focused technical team encompassing system administration, database administration, installation, project support, and performance tuning as well as environment manager and release manger roles. During this project so far I have • Designed, documented and built a clustered and load-balanced installation of CC&B, MDM, CSS, SGG, using Oracle Service Bus and Oracle SOA Suite replicated to a disaster recovery with Oracle Dataguard on an Oracle VM platform.• Cloned and installed all the 8 other project environments from an initial Oracle install.• Provided continued expert advice internally and externally on systems interfacing to CC&B via http, XML, jms, XAI XML integration, Web Services and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle SOA suite.• Installed an Oracle Enterprise Manager server and rolled it out across the project systems to provide systems monitoring and alerting. • Built and configured Yum cache servers to provide updates to all the Oracle Linux systems for the project

Responsible for day to day second line support for Travelex data warehouse and invoicing application, working across support and in-house development team.Recently saved the company £300k pa by identifying and fixing incorrect fees calculation on invoices.

Responsible for day to day second line support for O2 UK Pay & Go Service Management Platform, comprising Linux, HP-UX and Tru64 web/database servers running Oracle, Apache and Tomcat, providing customer service, top-up, self service and credit card processing.Improved team fault management performance from 'worst performing inbox' to within defined SLA targets within one month and then maintained this over two years leading to a 70 per cent reduction of faults being raised.Rescued a faltering key business relationship with by re-evaluating and understanding customer requirements through effective communication and collaboration, ensuring existing customer issues were satisfactorily addressed, receiving a great deal of positive feedback.

Worked closely with system users analysing business requirements and feeding into designs.Lowered overall development costs by 25 per cent.

Introduced previously unsupported customer care application into support team. Defined and delivered a full set of support procedures, KPIs and SLAs in line with company policy.
