About Neal Brewster

As the Executive Director at Elemental Economics, I provide economic, market and valuation analysis in the metals and mining and energy sectors, covering a wide range of commodities and their upstream and downstream value chains. I have over eight years of experience as a consultant, working with Forbes Global 2000 companies, private equity firms, banks, and other clients across the world. I also leverage my expertise as a visiting lecturer at the University of Dundee, where I teach postgraduate mineral resources policy and economics. Previously, I was the Chief Economist at Roskill, the leading producer of market intelligence and consulting services across critical raw materials and battery value chains. There, I led strategic consulting projects, developed in-house forecasts, represented the firm externally, and mentored junior staff. Before then I held a number of economics, valuation and strategy roles at Rio Tinto in the UK and Australia, including as Chief Advisor to the Investment Committee and head of economic forecasting.I have a strong background in public and corporate policy and strategy, financial analysis, and economic research, and I have published multiple reports and articles on commodity market and mining industry trends and valuation. I have a track record of building high performing research and advisory teams. My mission is to educate and to deliver innovative thought leadership and world-class analysis to drive business development and investment strategies or policy in the mining and natural resources sectors.
