I led our team in migrating the EHR from out-dated Terminal Servers to the Citrix XenApp platform, improving application performance, eliminating system failures, and building confidence in the EHR. • Successfully migrated NextGen EHR from ICD-9 to ICD-10 with supportive conversion tools to assist physicians with specificity requirements. When physicians struggled with navigating the new IMO tool for selecting ICD-10 codes, I worked closely with Intelligent Medical Objects to improve the design of the tool, reducing physician frustration and time spent documenting patient conditions. • Applied targeted algorithms with machine-learning application to improve accuracy of diagnostic coding and to identify missed diagnostic codes. • Empower leadership with strategic information through interactive reporting tools and dashboards using Microsoft SSRS, SSAS, and PowerBI. Established weekly alerts to identify costly incidents, enabling clinic management to direct cost-effective solutions. • Establish fully-redundant and geo-diverse systems for business continuity. Successfully tested fail-over of all systems to mitigate risks of environment catastrophes. • Designed and implemented a five-tier cyber security architecture to secure HIPAA-protected PHI. Successfully mitigated a ransomware attack in real-time with alerts and quick response, which reduced the impact from total shutdown to the recovery of a few megabytes of data on a single server. -
