Joined Kimono Labs, a YCombinator-backed startup, as the second engineering hire and focused on helping grow the company, both in terms of users and employees. - Helped established and improve the engineering culture at Kimono, following common best practices and putting an emphasis on effective sprint planning, collaboration, and code review.- Worked to move the product from a single monolithic codebase to a micro-services architecture with a clear separation of concerns and more effective performance.- Built an official Kimono World Cup API for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, using an open source MVC node.js framework (comparable to express) and powered by Kimono APIs. This was used as a model for all future official Kimono APIs.- Acquired by Palantir in February 2016.

Worked on the Rivals.com team to begin the rebuild of the site in a more modern software stack.- Built the core infrastructure for a new message boards front-end server from scratch, following both Yahoo internal and industry best-practices.- Integrated with core Yahoo backend services to store and manage user data.- Coordinated with Yahoo product and engineering managers to create a realistic timeline and complete deliverables on or ahead of schedule.
