Manager of NVT Systems at the Grains Research and Development Corporation with over 15 years' experience in the Agricultural R,D&E sector. A deep understanding of the Australian agricultural industry and immense knowledge of field based R&D trial operations. Two years' experience in Quality Control for an Agro-chemical company and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the University of Melbourne. Current responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:• Managing a network of over 600 field-based research trials across Australia covering 10 crops.• Leading and managing a small team in Melbourne, as well as a broader network of trial managers and sub-contractors across Australia.• Developing and maintaining trial management protocols for evaluating yield, grain quality, disease resistance, and other agronomic characteristics of crop varieties.• Collaborating with a strong network of global plant breeding organisations to develop trial entry lists and to optimise the trial management protocols. • Statistical analysis of trial results using the ASReml software package. Collaborating with a network of statisticians and biometricians to develop complex models for yield analysis. • Maintaining and enhancing an ever-evolving online database for NVT operations. Developing the NVT Yield Reports app and National Crop Disease app.• Auditing NVT trials, sub-contractors, service providers and other GRDC funded research activities for quality assurance and to ensure optimal return on investment.• Contract development and negotiation with investment partners. • Presenting research outcomes at various field days, seminars and conferences across Australia.Completed the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation's premier leadership program (Course 23) and a Graduate Certificate in Rural Leadership from James Cook University. Graduate of the AICD's Company Directors course.
