From bankruptcy in 2019 to becoming the most in-demand dental anesthesiologist in Southern California during the pandemic, my journey has been one of resilience and growth.My rise from rock bottom to the pinnacle of my career stemmed from creating an itinerant practice that addressed the shortage of dental anesthesiology services during the pandemic. Fixing and building are themes that define my life and career.This passion became evident when I was offered a PhD scholarship in the USA. With just two weeks to pass the GRE and move to a new country, I faced poverty and uncertainty. Despite these challenges, I pursued my PhD and later a dental degree and anesthesia certificate, aiming to address gaps in academia. However, the rigid bureaucracy stifled my innovative approach, leading me to pivot to industry and invest $200k in an MBA. This decision resulted in bankruptcy, as my academic skills did not translate to the business world.Returning to clinical dental anesthesiology, I faced further challenges, including poverty and the fallout from academia. When COVID-19 struck, I feared for my future. Yet, a call from a dentist needing my services led to a surge in demand, and my reputation for reliability and flexibility spread. This allowed me to build a thriving entrepreneurial practice.Having worked with scores of offices across the country and numerous dental service organizations (DSOs), I now focus on helping multi-practice owners and dental service owners incorporate anesthesia into their pediatric dental practices. My experience spans numerous DSOs, where I have successfully integrated pediatric anesthesia, improving efficiency and patient outcomes.Many of my clients have been where you are now but have now built impressive pediatric anesthesia practices.
