My name is Neandra Thomas and I am a life saver. As a teacher, I save lives. I provide my students quality education that will propel them in their future endeavors. I make a difference when I'm in the presence of my students. I hold myself to a high standard to the quality and rigor of education I provide. I have a caring disposition and take pride in the success of my students. I provide a positive atmosphere for my students to learn and express their opinions with openness. I go the extra distance that is needed for student success. Data is very important to me because it is unbiased and is necessary for my development. I use data to reflect on my teaching to better cater to my student and to enhance my overall performance. I am a hard worker and a team player. I am willing to do my best for the betterment of myself and my students. These are some of the reasons any school should hire me, especially if you want your students to succeed. In my past personal experiences, I have learned to be patient, understanding and persevering. I understand that students do not all learn the same way. As a teacher I takes steps to best accommodate for my students. I administer learning style tests, interest inventories, and get to know my students on a more personal level to best teach the way they learn. I take into consideration that students come from different backgrounds and that can affect how they learn. In my class I provide a safe learning environment so my students can focus on learning and express themselves without feeling hindered by their circumstances. I have also learned to persevere. Motivating students and encouraging them makes a difference in the long run. They need to know someone is rooting for them. I try my best to give my students support in and out of the classroom to really express that I care about their success.
