I am currently working as a research assistant in the Medical Imaging Research Center at Illinois Institute of Technology, where I am pursuing my master’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2023. My research is focused on using convolutional neural networks (CNNs), a subset of deep learning algorithms, for medical image quality assessment that can be applied to a broad range of medical imaging technologies. In my current project, I am building a CNN-based model observer for defect detection in CT scans. Additionally, I am the first author on two papers based on this research, as well as currently preparing a manuscript for a journal paper on it. My previous work includes applying machine and deep learning algorithms for improving the accuracy of low-cost air quality sensor networks. The algorithms I have used can be applied to a broad range of image and data processing techniques. Furthermore, I have extensive experience applying Python, C, Java and C++ for data and image processing.
