CurrentProvides commercial and regulatory legal advice, strategic business advice, and government relations to clients in multiple industries. Represents clients in state and federal regulatory matters. Handles environmental permitting, enforcement, compliance, and EHS management systems. Manages corporate governance, compliance, and internal investigations.• Leads complex project development for data centers, energy generation, storage and transmission, transportation infrastructure, other utility assets, pipelines, and industrial / commercial facilities, including planning, budgeting, siting, impact assessments, environmental and land use permits, stakeholder engagement, mitigation packages, and community benefit agreements.• Assists GM and senior team to develop and manage a capital program to build, own, and operate renewable energy generation, energy storage, and updated transmission assets. Leads land acquisitions, due diligence, permitting, government relations, strategic advice, stakeholder engagement, and negotiations with service providers.• Identifies and secures grants and incentives, including in recent federal laws (e.g., IIJA, IRA, CHIPS Act).• Directed a cross-functional team to complete federal, state, and local permitting for a $12M railroad terminal expansion project that increased facility throughput by 50%. Completed project on time and on budget without any appeals.
