I am part of a group of passionate, top-tier, entrepreneur-inspired technology-finance geeks that loves working with innovative entrepreneurs and their venture investors - leveraging my 25+ years of experience as an operator, consultant, and investor in technology companies, including 15+ years as a venture capitalist. Prior to jumping into Venture Banking, I was a Managing Director with Texas-based, early-stage investor Mercury Fund (formerly DFJ Mercury). At Mercury, my portfolio companies include(d) Deepfield (acq. by Nokia), Macheen (acq. by Good Technologies), ActaCell (acq. by Contour), Apto, and Ambiq Micro. Previously, I was a Partner with Sternhill Partners, a Texas-based early-stage venture capital firm, where I worked with pioneering start-ups including Boingo (IPO), Navini Networks (acq. by Cisco); RLX Technologies (acq. by Hewlett-Packard); and Surgient (acq. by Quest Software). I have served as the Chair of the Venture Atlanta Selection Committee and as a mentor at the Atlanta Technology Village, TechStars Cloud (San Antonio, TX), TechStars Austin, and Surge (Houston, TX). In addition, I previously served on the boards of the Texas Venture Capital Association and the Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship and as an Adjunct Professor at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University where I co-developed and taught a course on venture capital.
