In this role, I built and tested sub-assemblies for the Bugatti Tourbillon V16 engine, Aston Martin Valkyrie engine, Gordan Murray engine, development projects, and much more. This includes cylinder heads, oil pumps, water pumps, scavenge pumps, VVT's, gear drives, camshafts, squirt jets, plenums, etc. I also recorded and maintained all build data and keep records up to date using SAP. This role required intense attention to detail and strong engineering knowledge to ensure all components are built to the required specifications.

In this role, I prepared and maintained their Praga R1 race cars across race weekends in various championships.

In this role, I used Pi Toolbox and Aim Software to analyse car and race data to find and record any vehicle faults or potential vehicle improvements to maximise the performance and reliability of multiple Praga R1’s across race weekends. I also assisted with any mechanical work where required.

In this role, I maintained and set up historic race cars; such as the Epsilon LMP1, Dallara SP1 LMP1/900, Porsche 997 GT2, Chevron B8/B16, Lola T70, Ford GT40’s, Shelby Cobra’s, and much more. At race events, I was a Number 2 mechanic on various cars. I was also given the opportunity to be solely responsible for the maintenance and running of an MGB. This required me to do engine and gearbox replacements independently and conduct a test day at Silverstone with the customer. Throughout my time at Pursuit Racing, I worked on a wide variety of historic race cars across many different periods and categories, which has given me a wide breadth of knowledge on historic racing.

In this role, I worked predominantly as a part of the GT team, working on Porsche GT3 Cup's, Ginetta G55 GT4’s, and much more. I performed maintenance and setup preparations on the GT cars at the factory and away at the 'British Endurance Championship' events. I also assisted with the car build and preparation of the Cupra Leon and Infiniti Q50 BTCC cars at the workshop.

Working at Total Karting Zero as a part of their electric kart mechanic team. In this role, I worked at the factory in Oxford and at race events all over the UK. My role was to help maintain the 25+ kart fleet, enabling equal kart performance and fault resolution. Whilst simultaneously inputting into the development of upgrades to facilitate continuous advancements in the karts, to guarantee the best possible experience for the drivers. I worked with many experienced mechanics and engineers, including Rob Smedley himself.
