My work centers on collaborating with state agencies, community colleges and larger school districts across the country to develop replicable strategies for professional development and increasing utilization of NROC's high quality / low cost resources by teachers and their students. Other work includes developing methods to facilitate sharing and vetting educational media between our members as well as creating systems to streamline the work of our geographically distributed organization.

Served as Executive Director to a teacher-developed public online high school for both full-time and part-time students across Minnesota, many of whom were either "over-age / under-credit" for their grade level or excelling in their studies. Collaborated with staff and faculty to streamline operations, reorganize administration, establish procedures and polices to increase student retention, course completion, and the aggregate graduation rate. We worked with museums, educational publishers and non-profits to create interactive learning experiences used in over 40,000 classrooms across the country.

Classroom teacher for grades 3 thru 5. Developed reading program for students with underdeveloped phonemic awareness and decoding skills.

Designed curricula and interactive media that integrated primary source collections with narrative-based learning.

Designed science and humanities interactive media for middle and high school curricula.

Founding faculty member of the first A+ (Arts plus Academics) school in Minnesota. Designed key policies and taught fourth grade students using team-designed interdisciplinary curricula that blended the arts with content area subjects. Received several grants that funded an arts-based science center and mathematics curriculum that blended the fiber arts with geometry.
