Head - Procurement & Logistics with SBU - Engineering Services.Team Lead for complete Procurement and Logistics activities for the BPA - BPB - RC13 Gas Platforms Revamping Project of ONGC.Project Value - USD 120 Million.In Charge of procurement of Mechanical (Rotary and Static), Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Process equipment and Structural / Architectural items.Coordination with ONGC / EIL / Aker Solutions for all Purchase Specification approvals.Coordination with DNV and ABI for Third Party Inspection.

Role: Heading the Purchase function and responsible procurement and logistics support for the fleet of tankers, dredgers and bulk carriers.• Set up in-house purchase and logistics team and taken back these functions for 3 dredgers from ship managers (Ind Aust Maritime)• Technical budget monitoring and control for the in-house as well as externally managed tankers (with Anglo Eastern, Fleet Management & V-Ships) and dredgers (with Ind-Aust Maritime).• Ensure near zero downtime for dredgers / tanker operations on account of shortage of spares and consumables.• Planned maintenance system implementation in VIMS system for 2 dredgers taken over from ship managers in March 2013.• Physical inventory for spares on-board dredgers and linkage to PMS for automatic consumption.• Rate contracts for materials and technical services.• Procurement and logistics support for 3 dry dock projects. (Tanker dry dock at Oman and Colombo and Dredger at Goa).

Heading the Procurement & Logistics function for SBU - Fleet Management.Provide procurement and logistics support to all floating assets of the company (Offshore vessels, Construction Barges, Jack Up Rig, Drill Barge, Dive Support Vessels, Floating Dry Dock and Harbour Tugs).Responsibilities•Administer a team of 8 Buyers and 3 Logistics Coordinators•Oversee the long term contracts for material, technical services & logistics services•Planning & procuring the capital equipment for vessel conversion projects and dry docking / special surveys.•Sourcing & procurement of Spares, Consumables & Bunkers for Vessels / Rigs for Routine, Emergency Downtime and Charter specific requirements.•Set up supply and technical service vendor base at new overseas vessel operating locations.•First fill of new build vessels being delivered from Shipyards.•Risk Owner for Procurement & Logistics functions post completion of risk management study for these functions.•Vendor Approval & Periodic Evaluation•SAP Implementation for MM Module covering Procurement & Inventory Management functions•Customs matters & related documentation for Import / Export of Vessels & Rigs, Spares and Capital equipment on permanent, temporary / repair & return basis•Import Licensing from DGFT and handle Octroi & Cess matters.•Warehouse Management.•Audited for Integrated Management Systems as per ISO 9001 / 14001 audit requirements & adherence by DNV, Document of Compliance as per ISM Code by DG Shipping, India, Procurement Processes by statutory & internal auditors.•Monitor the departmental goals & quality objectives and drafting / implementing departmental policy and Improvements.

Procurement & Logistics support to vessels and rigs operating in India & abroad and other key departmental functionsProjects handled:•Acted as the single point procurement support for conversion project of Malaviya Thirty Three (conversion from Heavy Lift Vessel to 8 Point Mooring 200 Ton Crane & 250 persons Accommodation Barge). Completed at Mumbai Port in 2008.Responsibilities:•Supply of capital equipment, spares and consumables for conversion projects, dry docks, routine planned PMS and quarterly requirements.•First fill of vessels for stores, spares, operation specific and charter specific items within specified deadlines•Rate contracts for materials and technical services.•Managing logistics contracts for warehousing, freight forwarding and delivery on board.•Customs, DGFT Licensing, Octroi matters.

Projects handled:•First fill of 2 PSV’s, 3 AHTSV’s, 2 FFSV’s for complete stores, spares, operation specific and charter specific items within specified deadlines•Distinctively developed supplier base for stores and process for connectivity of spares for new operating locations such as Aberdeen, South Africa, UAE, Singapore, Saudi Arabia•Acted as the single point procurement support for conversion project of Malaviya Thirty Six (conversion from AHTSV to MSV) for Capital equipment, Diving equipment & spares, ONGC MSV tender specific items. Completed at Dubai Dry Docks in 2007.•Interpreting the requirements & procurement of equipment for UKOOA compliance of Fire Fighting Support Vessels Malaviya Twenty Five and Malaviya Twenty Seven in 2006, including local manufacturing of some items to save costs and expedite deliveries.•Carried out the development of In-House IT System for procurement (E-Proc) with interface to vendors & logistics service providers for real time entry (2004 – 06).Responsibilities:•Supplying Stores & Spares on board as requested by the vessels.•First fill of vessels for Complete stores, spares, operation specific and charter specific items within specified deadlines•Proposing cost reduction projects, follow up and ensure implementation•Proposing rate contracts for high consumption value items•Proposing & implementing logistics contracts for warehousing, freight forwarding and delivery on board
