Serves as an Environmental Engineering Specialist responsible for preparing and reviewing guidance, information, and technical materials in support of the development and revision of water quality standards. Coordinates projects with engineers in other disciplines. Collects information and produces multiple effective presentations in support of water quality standards pursuant to section 303 (c) of the Clean Water Act. Conducts various intensive water quality site surveys for the purpose of determining use classifications and assessment. Attends discussions with other engineers at the Gulf of Mexico Alliance to determine linkages to human health, aquatic health and economic health as it affects water resources throughout the Gulf of Mexico. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with local and state governmental groups and other federal agencies, such as the Environmental Protection Agency, in relation to water quality standards and implementation. Establishes and maintains policies, instructions and guidelines for the systematic management of the State of Alabama’s water quality standards. Conducts field studies; identifies use classifications; performs initial survey work, and collects all pertinent information available for each water body studied. Creates, displays and analyzes geospatial data by utilizing ArcMap software.

Created three dimensional models utilizing Solidworks and constructed a waterjet cutting program utilizing FlowPath in order to produce the real life product. Generated work instructions designed to show the operators how to use new machinery in a step­by­step guide. Quickly and efficiently organized files, created spreadsheets, and began new jobs through the head engineer’s advising. Attended discussions for job proposals in order to determine the manufacturability of a part.
