I am an Indian Revenue Service Officer of 1998 batch. After completion of training, I was posted at Patna since 2006. Thereafter, I was transferred to Delhi in the Directorate of Income-tax (Systems). This Directorate is responsible for the computerization work (maintenance of existing systems all over India as well as designing and implementing new projects) of the Income Tax Department.

I had the training for the IRS at National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur. It is a wonderful institution having a great training infrastructure and a beautiful campus.

I am an IRS officer of 1998 batch. I am currently posted at Delhi and looking after the tax assessment and investigation (jurisdiction - Sadar Bazar & Paharganj).

I was transferred to Delhi in 2006 in the Directorate of Income Tax (Systems). I handled the e-filing of tax returns project which became operational in October, 2006.

I was promoted in 2002 to become Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. I handled tax assessment and investigation of big groups and raid cases. I also handled the TDS charge of Bihar during this period,

I was posted at Patna after completion of training as Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax. I handled tax assessment and investigations of business groups and companies during this period.

I joined the Public Policy and Management (MBA) Course at IIM-Bangalore in 2007.It was a two year post graduate course, sponsored by DoPT, Govt. of India, in which the fist year was fully residential at IIM. I joined this course with 25 other civil servants from various services. The course not only provided a good and much needed break from the regular office work but also given lot of insights about the management of organization in general and handling the work in the Govt. in particular. The accomodation arrangement for all of us was wonderful and that added to the charm of the course. A two months stint at Maxwell School of Public Policy, Syracuse University, Newyork, USA provided foreign exposure as well. After completion of the one year residential part of this course, I joined my office at Delhi in 2008. I submitted my dissertation on - "Foreign Exchange Policy of India - Lessons from the Emerging Market Economies." I graduated in 2009.
