Hey there! I am a second-year undergraduate Dean’s List Scholar pursuing a B.A in Cell Biology and Neuroscience (CBN) at the Honors College of Rutgers University. Armed with a passion for advancing healthcare and individualized medicine, I am driven to building a career focused on improving patient outcomes through academia and clinical care. My academic journey has been enriched by research, service, and leadership experiences. I previously interned as a Student Researcher for the Ahmed Lab, where I applied my skills in data analysis, genomics, and research methodology to contribute to the development of AI/ML-driven precision diagnostics for cardiovascular disease. Now, I am excited to take my experience further with the Tulsi Patel Lab, where I will participate in cutting-edge in vivo analysis of motor neuron pathways that contribute to neurodegenerative disease. Outside of class, I enjoy volunteering at my local hospital, where I spend extensive time with patients in the Emergency Department and Medical Surgical units. In addition, I have received my National EMT Certification and am currently serving my community as an EMT for RWJBH Mobile Health.I am also grateful to be involved in several impactful community and healthcare organizations on campus. I previously had the pleasure of representing 700+ students at my university through my role as Vice President of the Honors College and Brett Hall. Here, I learned important skills on financial management, administration, and personal relations. Now, I serve as the Peer Mentor Chair for the RU American Medical Student Association, and the Secretary for the RU TEACH Chapter. I am extremely excited to watch both myself and these organizations grow through collective dedication and our passion for healthcare. In the future, I hope to leverage my experiences to become a successful medical provider who can deliver high-quality and accessible care to diverse and underserved populations.
