I have been an avid outdoorsman for most of my adult life and have always maintained the firmbelief that the outdoors should be shared by everyone and not just the select few who can affordto access it.I have always had a relationship both personally and professionally with trying to help the disenfranchised of our community. My stepson is learning disabled and has faced the stigma that goes along with those challenges daily. As a former Police Officer here in the border community, I have worked hard to break down the barriers between offices of authority and the community we served. I have benefited from visiting many places in our southwestern United States and have always believed the more communities can get to know these precious lands the more they would be inclined to protect them.In my current position as an Adjunct Instructor and Special Projects Coordinator at a small college, I have successfully created online learning tools, platforms, and content to help facilitate better studentand instructor engagement.
