Andrew Nef is a member of the California State Bar, Sacramento County Bar Association, and California Lawyer’s Association. Andrew grew up wanting to be an attorney, donning a suit and briefcase at the early age of 8 to dress up as one for Halloween. Andrew grew up in Fresno and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from California State University, Fresno. Andrew earned his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in Business Law.While studying law at the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law, Andrew discovered his desire to help people establish and administer their personal legacies through proper estate planning and counseling. Shortly after law school Andrew began work as a paralegal at a small estate planning firm in Roseville and became certain that estate planning and administration was where his passion lied. Andrew then moved on to a larger firm in Sacramento where his paralegal work focused primarily on trust and estate litigation and after passing the California Bar Exam, began practicing as a trust and estate litigator.Andrew's 6 years of experience in estate litigation provided him the opportunity to familiarize himself with hundreds of different estate plans and exposed him to the pitfalls that can arise from poor quality estate planning. While litigating, Andrew developed a passion fighting for enforcing decedents’ actual wishes and protecting their legacies from predators with ulterior motives. Now, Andrew understands that the quality of your estate plan can have great significance in the remembrance and legacy you leave to your family. Andrew’s goal is to protect his clients from common estate planning pitfalls and to counsel clients to make sure that their wishes are written clearly and simply.Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and their four young children. Andrew also enjoys disc golfing, reading, and keeping up with current events.
