Volunteering and service have always kindled my heart. Brought up in a stable household, which gave me the liberty and safety to explore myself, I became aware of my privilege. With a desire to work for those who have not had such privilege, I did my Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and committed to working in the social sector thereafter.I spent the first six years of my career in the field of health, HIV to be specific, working on various aspects of planning, implementation, research, organizational development, and non-profit compliance at Prayas Health Group. I joined iTeach in 2015 to initially work on socio-emotional learning for students and government partnerships. iTeach Schools operates a network of transformational schools in the cities of Pune and Navi Mumbai to empower the most under-resourced children to create a destiny of their own choice.In 2017, I joined the board of directors at iTeach and have spearheaded multiple functions, such as operations, HR, finance, government partnerships, expansion, child safety, and organizational development, with a commitment to building a transparent, efficient, and empathetic organization which strives to give an excellent education to under-resourced children.
